About Revive Counseling

My educational background includes a bachelors degree in psychology from Saint Louis University (2009) and a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University (2013). I have worked in several different treatment settings including detox, residential, PHP/IOP and outpatient as well as managed care. These experiences have allowed me to understand the full spectrum of mental health/addiction treatment. My continuing education focused on learning more about specific modalities to treat sexual/porn addiction  and couples/relationship issues. I have found that many people seek out therapy due to distress in relationships - whether it be the relationship with yourself or someone else. I enjoy helping clients learn practical skills that they can use in a variety of settings.

 I am a certified sexual recovery therapist (SRT) and have completed several Gottman method trainings including level 1 and 2, addiction/recovery and trauma/affairs. While I cater treatment to the needs of the client(s), I often use cognitive behavior therapy, reality therapy, motivational interviewing, DBT skills and Gottman methods in my approach. On a personal note - I enjoy spending my free time with my friends, family and dog Loki. My hobbies include boxing, weight lifting, playing mahjong with my mom and aunts, reading, baking, attending concerts and traveling.
